About Project Atrium

Project Atrium, MOCA’s bold series, features site-specific and site-sensitive installations by emerging and mid-career artists. The unique placement, dimensions and scale of MOCA’s Haskell Atrium Gallery provide a compelling challenge to the chosen artist—a call to reinvention and active collaboration with the architecture of the museum on a monumental scale.

Living Walls 2012

I recently completed a mural for the 2012 Living Walls Conference in Atlanta.  The walls are below a train trestle on the beltline in Reynoldstown, Atlanta, Georgia on Fulton Tr. between Chester and Holtzclaw. It was really great working in Reynoldstown and I am so thankful for all the people who came out and helped paint.  Special thanks to Living Walls for inviting me to participate–So far this conference has been my favorite project to date.

I hope you’ll take a moment to check out the other artists involved in the conference and please take a moment to support future projects by donating to Living Walls.

The Living walls team has been putting together some really great videos of the artists working-Click below to get started on the Living Walls Vimeo site.

I’m trying something new at Etsy. I’m in a position where I need to raise money for various projects I am participating in and I am also looking to raise money for specific organizations that really give a lot back to artists. My plan is to use Etsy as a give and get between my studio and interested viewers. I’ve always liked to collect things; comic books, garbage pail kid cards, records, postcards, old photos, etc. This Etsy shop will be almost like a studio journal of little collections—Each series will represent a set of various concepts from the studio; failed ideas, compositions that serve as templates for big projects, drawings, and prints from specific series of works.

For my first Etsy collection I have created a series of 24 hipstamatic sketchbook prints called “Squares in Process”. Each print is a 4 x 4 inch print, printed in an edition of 3.
“Squares In Process” is a series of snapshots done in the studio as way to work out different compositions in a short amount of time and represents the process of defining imagery through symbolic relationships and context.
